Yvonne Coomber paints intuitive, richly coloured abstract landscapes of hedgerows, meadows, moorland and sea, layering oils, inks, glazes, glitter and gold leaf. She often works outdoors, so the weather plays its part in how the paint settles. She studied philosophy and literature at Brighton University and has painted full time since the early 2000s, from a studio in Totnes, Devon.
