Wendy McMurdo is a Scottish photographer and digital artist, born in Edinburgh in 1962. She became known in the 1990s for digitally altered photographs of children meeting their own doubles, among the earliest uses of digital manipulation in British art photography. Her later work looks at childhood, identity and how young people live with computers, games and screens. In 2018 the Royal Photographic Society named her one of its Hundred Heroines, and her exhibition The Digital Mirror is at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery.
