Sgàire Wood

Sgàire Wood is an Irish artist and performer based in Glasgow, who moved there to study fashion and textiles before turning to nightlife and queer event spaces. Her work mixes the grave and political with humour. Her commission In Pride, In Piety, In Vigilance at Jupiter Artland, her first large sculptural work, uses heraldry to show how ideology hides in decorative forms, and she also curated the Jupiter Rising festival there.
