Ryan Gander is a British artist, born in Chester in 1976. Since 2003 he has made work in many forms, including sculpture, clothing, writing, architecture, painting, typefaces, publications and performance. He also curates exhibitions, has taught at art institutions and universities, and has presented BBC programmes about contemporary art and culture. He is usually described as a conceptual artist, a label he has resisted, preferring to call himself a neo-conceptualist.
