Richard Pikesley is a landscape and seascape painter based on the Dorset coast who studied at Harrow and Canterbury art schools and taught art before painting full time from 1990. He was elected to the New English Art Club in 1974 and was its President from 2013 to 2018, and he is a member of the Royal Watercolour Society. Working in oil and watercolour, often outdoors, he looks for painterly equivalents of fleeting light and weather. The Jerram Gallery in Sherborne shows his new paintings.
