Ray Harryhausen was a Los Angeles-born animator who brought creatures to life on screen frame by frame with his own stop-motion technique, Dynamation. He made the models and effects for films such as The 7th Voyage of Sinbad, Jason and the Argonauts, with its famous skeleton fight, and Clash of the Titans. He moved to London in 1960 and lived there for the rest of his life. His models and drawings are cared for by the Ray and Diana Harryhausen Foundation.
