Nahraine Al-Khafaji is an Iraqi-British painter whose fragmentary paintings explore ancient Iraqi history and how regional histories become hard to read after war and the destruction of archaeological sites. She graduated with a first in Fine Art from Bath Spa University in 2025, won the Freelands Painting Prize that year and holds a Graduate Fellowship at Spike Island in Bristol.
