Masolino da Panicale, born Tommaso di Cristoforo Fini, was a Florentine painter who joined the graceful International Gothic style to the new ideas of the Renaissance. He worked alongside the younger Masaccio on the frescoes of the Brancacci Chapel in Santa Maria del Carmine and painted fresco cycles in San Clemente in Rome and at Castiglione Olona. He also worked in Hungary. The National Gallery in London has two panels of saints from the Santa Maria Maggiore altarpiece he made with Masaccio.
