Julia Isídrez is a Paraguayan ceramicist, born in 1967 in Itá, a town known for its pottery. She learned from her mother, the potter Juana Marta Rodas, and works with the same local clay, building vessels by hand and burnishing and firing them in the traditional way. Her pots often take on animal, bird and human forms. Her work was shown at the Venice Biennale in 2024.
