Jesse Darling is a British artist born in Oxford in 1981, working in sculpture and installation. He won the Turner Prize in 2023. His work often uses damaged, bent or repurposed objects and everyday materials to think about bodies, institutions and the fragility of structures that appear solid. Since 2024 he has been an associate professor at the University of Oxford’s Ruskin School of Art and a tutorial fellow of St Anne’s College, Oxford. He was included in British Art Show 10.
