Elizabeth Fritsch, appointed CBE, is a British studio potter and ceramic artist, born in 1940 into a Welsh family in Whitchurch, on the Shropshire border. Her hand built and painted pots are often shaped by ideas from music, painting, literature, landscape and architecture.
