Eilean Eland makes hand-built paperclay sculptures, mostly of the female figure, along with wall hangings inspired by the beach and her garden. She studied sculpture at Reading University, then worked in schools and museums and at the University of Leicester School of Museum Studies. On retiring she set up a studio at home on the North Devon coast, looking over Bideford Bay.
