Corinne Day was an English photographer who helped define the look of British fashion and youth culture in the 1990s. A former model with no formal training, she photographed the teenage Kate Moss for The Face in 1990 in a raw, natural style far from glossy studio work, and her later underwear pictures of Moss for British Vogue were attacked as heroin chic. Her book Diary of 2000 recorded the lives of her friends in London, including her own illness with a brain tumour. She died of the tumour at 48.
