Cherelle Sappleton is a London artist of Afro-Caribbean descent who works mainly in collage, with moving image and photography, cutting up fashion editorials and adverts to fragment and remake the body. She studied Fine Art and Drama at Bath Spa and began with performance. Her long-term project Scan/Exchange collects personal archives of people of colour as collage material and to preserve them.
