Andy Harper is a painter whose densely worked surfaces moved from early photo-real grass paintings to intricate, organic abstraction. He studied painting at Brighton Polytechnic and the Royal College of Art, co-founded the NotCut studios in South London in 1996, and has taught at Goldsmiths. He lives and works in St Just and St Ives in Cornwall, and his work is in the Government Art Collection.
