Andrew Crummy is a Scottish artist and illustrator, born in Craigmillar in Edinburgh in 1959. He designed some of the largest community embroidery projects of recent years, including the Prestonpans Tapestry and the Great Tapestry of Scotland, stitched by hundreds of volunteers and now shown in its own gallery at Galashiels. He has also designed murals, public art and the Diaspora Tapestry. His drawings set out each panel for the stitchers to follow.
