Ade Adesina is a printmaker born in Nigeria in 1980 who studied fine art at Gray’s School of Art in Aberdeen and still lives and works in the city. He is known for large linocuts, woodcuts and etchings that mix African memories, architecture, travel and the natural world into imagined scenes about the human footprint on the planet. Some of his prints are made at a scale that stretches the limits of the techniques. He has held residencies at Eton College, Glasgow Print Studio and Highland Print Studio, and he is a Royal Scottish Academician.
