Abbas Zahedi is a British-Iranian interdisciplinary artist based in London, born in 1984. Writer Arsalan Isa has described his work as a form of Dissociative Realism, a term Zahedi himself defines as moving between intimacy and estrangement and attending to forms of meaning that lie beyond the purely material. Artist Othello De’Souza-Hartley has said his work is both art and social practice. Zahedi is an Associate Lecturer at the Royal College of Art in London, and he served as a trustee of the South London Gallery from 2014 to 2021.
